Chapter 2 Little Fox

Chapter 2 Little Fox

Yun Muhan looked in the direction of the scent and saw a little fox playing happily in the grass.

The little fox was pure white, with soft, smooth fur and eyes that shone like two black gems.

Yun Muhan's heart stirred, sensing that this little fox was unusual, and he couldn't help but move closer.

The little fox seemed to sense Yun Muhan's presence. It stopped playing and looked up at Yun Muhan with a puzzled expression. Their eyes met for a moment.

Just as Yun Muhan was stunned, the little fox suddenly transformed into a white light and disappeared. Yun Muhan stared wide-eyed in surprise, searching everywhere for the little fox, but to no avail.

"Was that just my imagination?" Yun Muhan muttered to himself.

"To be able to escape from someone like me, a late-stage Nascent Soul cultivator, without releasing any spiritual power? Without even leaving a trace."

However, deep down, he had a feeling that there seemed to be some kind of strange connection between him and the little fox...

A sly glint flashed in Yun Muhan's mind; he knew that chasing wouldn't work on this clever little fox.

His eyes narrowed slightly, as if he already had a perfect plan in his mind.

His body trembled slightly, and the surrounding air began to distort, as if an invisible force was gathering.

Then, his body began to change. His clothes and skin were gradually covered with a layer of fine scales, his limbs became strong and powerful, and sharp claws extended from his fingertips. His head also gradually transformed into the shape of a dragon, with a pair of dragon horns breaking through his skin and gleaming with a cold light.

Yun Muhan hovered in the air, looking down at the forest below. His sharp eyes scanned every corner like a scanner.

His body reflected a dazzling light in the sunlight, like a god descending to earth, majestic and inviolable.

Yun Muhan took a deep breath in mid-air, his chest bulged, and then he let out a deafening dragon roar.

The sound was like thunder, shaking the entire forest and instilling a deep-seated fear in all living beings.

Trees, grass, and even dust in the air trembled at the dragon's roar.

After the dragon's roar, Yun Muhan keenly caught a slight movement in the grass not far away.

His eyes locked onto that direction, and he quickly deactivated his dragon form, reverting to human form, and gently landed by the grass.

Yun Muhan moved lightly and cautiously, trying not to make any noise so as not to disturb the little fox.

He crouched down, a gentle smile on his face, and tried to communicate with the little fox in the gentlest tone.

A flicker of surprise crossed the little fox's eyes, its ears twitching slightly as if trying to gauge Yun Muhan's intentions. A wary glint appeared in its eyes, its body tense, as if ready to flee at any moment.

Yun Muhan reached out his hand, his movements slow and steady, his voice soft and seductive: "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you."

However, just as he was about to touch the little fox, the fox kicked off with its hind legs, a white light flashed, and its figure disappeared into the grass again.

Yun Muhan's hand stopped in mid-air, but there was no disappointment on his face. Instead, a relaxed smile appeared on his face.

He stood up, dusted himself off, and decided to try a different approach to approach the little fox. He knew that patience and wisdom were the keys to capturing this clever little fox.

Yun Muhan's eyes gleamed with determination. He believed that as long as he was patient enough, he would one day win the little fox's trust.

He immediately took out some dry food from his ring, placed it on the ground, and then stepped aside to quietly observe the little fox's reaction.

A quarter of an hour later...

The little fox did not react.

Fifteen minutes later...

The little fox slowly poked its head out.

The little fox, who had been hiding in the shadows, hesitated for a moment, but ultimately couldn't resist the temptation of the food and cautiously approached the dry rations.

It sniffed the food, and after confirming that there was no danger in it, it began to wolf it down.

Yun Muhan's lips curled up slightly, and his eyes gleamed with satisfaction. His movements were extremely slow, almost imperceptible, as he gently, step by step, approached the little fox.

The little fox's ears twitched slightly, and its eyes were fixed on Yun Muhan, as if assessing whether this human posed a threat.

Yun Muhan's breathing also became soft and rhythmic, as he did not want his breath to disturb the little fox.

As the distance gradually decreased, Yun Muhan was able to see the details of the little fox more clearly.

Its fur is soft and glossy, and its eyes, like two dazzling gems, gleam with a wary yet curious light.

The little fox wrinkled its nose slightly, as if trying to catch Yun Muhan's scent, and its tail swayed gently, showing a hint of unease.

Yun Muhan stretched out his hand, palm up, and slowly showed the little fox that he was not carrying any threatening items. His hand was steady, without the slightest tremor, a testament to his years of cultivation and his trust in the little fox.

The little fox finally lowered its guard, gently touching Yun Muhan's palm with its nose, and then carefully licking it.

This was a friendly sign, indicating that it was beginning to accept Yun Muhan's presence. A warmth welled up in Yun Muhan's heart; he knew this was the beginning of trust between him and the little fox.

He didn't rush into further contact, but maintained a certain distance, letting the little fox decide its next move. His eyes were full of patience and understanding; he knew that building trust took time, and he was willing to wait.

After the little fox finished its dry food, its eyes softened, and it began to wander around Yun Muhan, occasionally touching his leg with its tail, as if testing his reaction.

Yun Muhan maintained a gentle attitude throughout. He knew that the little fox was exploring and confirming its new friend in its own way.

Yun Muhan's fingers gently ran through the little fox's soft and glossy fur, and with each touch he could feel the warmth of the little fox's body and its slight trembling.

The little fox's tail was like a soft ribbon, swaying gently with its movements, occasionally brushing against Yun Muhan's arm and bringing a slight tickle.

The little fox's eyes were clear and bright, and when it jumped onto Yun Muhan's lap, its eyes were full of curiosity and liveliness.

Its little paws gently stepped on Yun Muhan's clothes, each touch was cautious, as if afraid of disturbing him.

When Yun Muhan's hand landed on its back, the little fox's ears curled back slightly, showing its enjoyment and dependence on the contact.
