Doomsday Code

Chapter 1046 Guild Leader

Chapter 1046 Guild Leader

Looking at the unconscious Sisi, King Como XIV's aged face showed a sickly expression.

"Don't blame Father, we've all waited too long. It's been almost two hundred years, but they always seem to appear like an inescapable ghost."

“Nobody wants two hundred years of chaos, nobody wants it, so Sisi, my good Sisi, you should be proud of your actions.”

No one would have imagined that the king of the Kingdom of Como, one of the five great kingdoms, would be so sickly. Only the five kingdoms that could reach the top truly understood how terrifying the ghost of Emperor Hopes was.

Just how immense are the physical and psychological pressures inflicted on them?

Just like the Holy Roman Empire, no one speaks ill of the Holy Roman Empire now that it is completely dead, but the kingdoms that split off from it all sing its epics.

But when the Holy Roman Empire was truly alive, it was no longer the great Holy Roman Empire, but an invisible shackle that oppressed the kingdoms.

The Thorn Flower Empire, represented by Chen Cheng, is such a shackle. Because of his existence, the five kingdoms that have developed can only restrain each other, caught in a dilemma, and watch as the rising stars catch up little by little.

This is unacceptable to any ambitious kingdom, and to suppress it, they would have to turn civilization into beasts and completely distort their rule.

It even allowed religious forces to rise, gradually eroding the secular monarchy.

Therefore, in the eyes of King Como XIV and his people, Chen Cheng, along with his father, grandfather, and others, were simply a group of people who deserved to die.

As for the claim that it was because they themselves were heartless and treacherous, colluded with the church, dismantled the empire's original rule, and then engaged in distorted politics for their own greed, they considered that perfectly justified.

King Como XIV patted Sisi's head, and just as he was about to have Sisi dragged away and settled, the sixth prince rushed in from outside.

Upon seeing Sisi lying unconscious on the ground, he immediately broke free from the guards' obstruction, went to Sisi, and helped her up.

Upon seeing this, King Comoros XIV said in a somewhat cold voice:

"How did you come."

Not long after the sixth prince left the princess's residence, he felt uneasy as he walked along the road, so he turned back.

Then he saw that Sisi's maids were waiting outside the palace, and he felt that something was wrong, so he followed them and entered the palace.

Upon hearing King Como XIV's words, the sixth prince lowered his head and said:

“When I saw that Sisi had come to the palace, I knew that Sisi was willful and capricious, and I was afraid that she would anger Father, so I came with her.”

King Comoros XIV simply snorted coldly and said:

"Stop saying such things in front of me. Have you forgotten what your father taught you? Sisi has her own mission, and you have your own mission too."

Judging from the Sixth Prince's current performance, he can be considered a qualified or even excellent successor to a feudal monarch in every respect.

With such qualities, he naturally could not accept a situation where the five kingdoms were on equal footing, so he accepted the mission that King Como XIV spoke of.

However, as an older brother, he also felt extremely pained when his own sister was involved.

While the family of three was putting on their emotional drama, Sam was on high alert outside.

Instead of returning to the academy, he went to the Adventurers' Guild.

When he realized that what he had left in Sisi's mind had been triggered, Sam knew that things had reached their most critical point.

Whether it was due to his own identity being exposed or for other reasons, this shows that this farce that has lasted for over a century should come to an end.

After giving his code, Samlett quickly met with the guild leader.

"Sir, what you needed us to do has already been done by our guild. What are you still doing at the guild?"

The person in charge did not know Sam's identity. The only thing they knew was that the guild would need to provide identity verification to the person who uttered the coded message.

That's why Samlett's pseudonym is considered impeccable.

It's not that the Komo Kingdom's secret guards lack intelligence capabilities, but rather that the guild has truly been operating the identity of Sam from the very beginning. All his experiences and encounters are real, and even Samlett's current appearance is real.

Upon hearing his words, Sam didn't immediately say anything, but instead pointed behind him and said:

"Let the person inside come out and talk to me."

The person in charge didn't know that Sam was Samlett, so upon hearing Samlett's words, he stood up somewhat angrily and said:

"Sam, don't push your luck. Apart from your identity, you have nothing to do with us anymore."

However, Samlett chuckled softly and said:

"I'm afraid you haven't figured out why your place has been operating the identity of Sam for over a hundred years, and why I'm such a good match for this identity."

Samlett's question instantly froze the person in charge.

This was indeed a question in his mind, but because of the guild's rules, he simply reported the activation of Sam's identity according to procedure.

And indeed, just as Samlett pointed out, after he reported it, the Grand Master immediately rushed to the capital of Como.

Lokaski pushed open the door to the dark room, and upon seeing Samlett, he gave him a big hug.

He then said to the person in charge:

"There's nothing more for you here. You can leave now."

"It's the president."

After the person in charge left, Lokaski patted Samlett on the shoulder and said:

"I never imagined that almost two hundred years would have passed in the blink of an eye. I've finally fulfilled my promise to you back then. That old guy Fisher Doug is still quite sentimental; he even went on a killing spree for you."

"Don't act so disrespectful to me, or you'll regret it. And don't play innocent in front of me; you certainly didn't skimp on the Empire's legacy back in the day."

As for Fisher-Doug, he's at least somewhat conscientious.

Samlett opened his hand.

"Don't be so formal. Our guild is still covering His Majesty's identity. Without our cover, with His Majesty's dissolute nature, he would have been skinned alive by those guys long ago."

And that kid, he actually managed to steal my darling's heart! Seriously though, you should at least call me the Emperor's father-in-law!

No one would have imagined that Locaski, the current guild master of the Adventurers' Guild, one of the strongest people in the world, would actually be such a reckless and unruly guy in private.

Upon hearing this, Samlett's lips curled into a slight smile.

"You're the Emperor's father-in-law, right? It's fine to call you that. Now that you're the Emperor's father-in-law, shouldn't you do your part for His Majesty's son-in-law?"
